The 7th International Chemical Summit, the main forum of the Russian chemical and petrochemical industry, will be held at the Renaissance Moscow Hotel on the 18th and 19th March 2010. Every year the summit brings together presidents and CEOs of state-owned and private companies, heads of state bodies, leading academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, representatives of foreign business.

The preliminary programme of the Summit 2010 includes the following sessions:

1. Energy savings and efficiency of Russian plants.

2. State policy on high value added production.

3. Russian holding companies and international firms in the Russian market: outlook for cooperation.

4. Public and private investments in R&D projects in the chemical industry (nanotechnologies and other sectors). Competitive Russian developments.

5. Specifics of the Russian plastics conversion market development. Measures to support domestic converters amid the crisis.

6. Feedstock supply to Russian chemical companies.

The Organising Committee of the 6th Moscow International Chemical Summit includes, among others, Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov and Tatarstan prime minister Rustam Minnikhanov. Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin has been invited to address the delegates.

This year’s summit is organised by the Moscow City Government, Russian Chemists Union, Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The summit operator is the RCC Group information and consulting agency.
